vintage designer bags under $500 of the week and why i love them
week of 3/27, let's get into it girls!!!
To me, there is truly no better accessory than a vintage designer handbag. A handbag will take you through so many seasons, so many eras, so many years of your life, so if you are looking to find a special vintage designer piece, I always would start with a handbag. I think a handbag is such an extension of our personalities more than any other item of clothing, it holds our most important items and truly ties our outfits together. Here are some faves I found while doing my weekly internet deep dive.
Let’s go through my gorg little collage, top to bottom, left to right. You get the gist.
Starting strong with one of my fave bags of all time, the infamous Fendi baguette. I love the cotton fabric on this, makes it easy for everyday, but the pop of bright blue hardware makes it unique and different. I am also loving this blue color for spring/summer.
Ok why aren’t more people talking about the Celine boogie bag?! I have seen this style popping up on The Real Real a lot recently, and I am beyond obsessed with everything about it. The shape is killer, I’ve seen it in so many unique colors and prints (this cow print is EVERYTHING), and anything Celine is a win for me. Get ahead on the western trend that is going to hit us in full swing through spring, summer, and into fall with this cutie cow bag.
A way to switch it up with your handbags is by incorporating unexpected, unique shapes, like this Chanaynay circle clutch. I mean, how cute is this? Probably not the most practical option, but you know sometimes a girls gotta sacrifice practicality for a good fit.
Ok it’s time we talk about the POWER of a clutch. Clutches are the IT GIRL bag right now I feel…I sometimes finding myself wearing my bags with straps as a clutch just for the clutch VIBES, like there’s something about holding a little clutch next to you that makes you feel some type of way. Chicness. This red snake Miu Miu option is simply sickening. I feel like the Khaite girlies will eat this one up. And go run, its under $150.
My brain is already in summertime, and this Balenciaga raffia clutch is simply the sickest summer vibe. I love the moto styles from Balenciaga, they are always that cool girl vibe, and the rafia adds a girly, fresh touch that is so fun. I also love the lavender and brown together, perfect for your next beach trip.
Another one of my favorite bags is the Gucci jackie, and this tropical print one is another that is so epic for summer. This is so unique and whimsical and such a fun seasonal/vacay bag to own.
The animal print trend is going absolutely nowhere people! It was never really a trend to me because animal prints are all neutrals in my wardrobe, but if you are looking for a chic, easy way to incorporate leopard print into your daily routine, this Fendi crossbody is absolutely perfect. The red strap makes it even more fabulous and the gold hardware adds that finishing touch.
I posted this Gucci pouch in light pink on my stories a couple weeks ago and someone snagged it immediately. It is such a fun, unique shape. It’s giving the same chic vibes as a clutch. And also this color feels like a more neon version of the butter yellow we have been seeing everywhere. The PERFECT pop.
Having a cool designer backpack just automatically makes you a cool girl. This leopard print Bottega is not only adorable, but also practical. This is great for travel, vacations, going to the gym, an easy Saturday, the list is endless. Plus its another great pop of leopard and under $150.
Whoever said logos are tacky, I disagree with you. I live for a good logo. If you’re gonna spend the money on a designer item, isn’t there a tiny part of you that wants something to show for it? I am simply obsessed with this YSL tote with the giant sparkly letters, like literally I need it. Right now, I NEED IT. This is also such a good bag to pass down to your daughter one day.
This pink wool Prada tote?! I am simply addicted. This is such a good bag to own. Looks like it can carry a lot and also I love that the fabric feels wintery yet summery at the same time. It will last you through all of the seasons.
Hobo bags are all the rage right now and Gucci option is perfect. The GG canvas print is one of my favorites of all time. The black makes this go with everything and the ring detail adds that funky touch. This is a winner of a bag.
Once again, a fabulous logo. This Gucci is GORG. The color green popped up on all the runways this past season, and I love this color for every season. This is such a fun shape too, it’s like the LV speedy but a little more fun. The script logo also makes this so vintage and whimsical, I love it.
Last but not least, from one of my favorite brands, Sonia Rykiel, is this burgundy bowling bag. This is just soooo effortlessly cool. I love having a few handbags that I know not many others will have, and this is that. The color and the details are amazing.
Hope you enjoyed and let me know if any of these make their way into your collection! My full collection of designer finds is linked here :) I continue to update this weekly!
More to come next week!
